I love drawing animals.    Hawks, hares, cats, giraffes … any animal will do!  I enjoy the challenge of capturing likeness, a look, or attitude, or a composition that evokes a storyline.  It is not often you get an owl holding a stop watch or an elephant carrying a crane feather!  My animals can get up to all sorts of antics and both styles can be used for pet portraits.  Storytelling often underpins my images, with hints of humour and I paint animals featured in poems and folklore .     That extra special commission is just an email enquiry away!  diane@manicillustrations.com
