Healthy Life Expo – In aid of British Heart Foundation & Diabetes UK
The organisers of the 2015 Gloucestershire Healthy Life Expo are delighted and excited to be announcing the launch of their inaugural event to take place on 14th & 15th March 2015 at the Cheltenham Chase Hotel.
This event, which has been planned to coincide with Mother’s Day on 15th March, is set to raise money for both the British Heart Foundation (BHF) and Diabetes UK, two well-respected charities which are close to the hearts of the organisers, Gloucester’s Dawn Swinley of Mode de Vie and Lorna Hedges. As Dawn explains, “Coronary heart disease is the UK’s single biggest killer, whilst diabetes is estimated to affect one in 17 people in the UK, and this figure is growing all the time. These two concerns are important to Lorna and I, as we both have family members who have unfortunately suffered from heart problems and diabetes. We hope that by launching the Gloucestershire Healthy Life Expo, we can provide a forum to promote awareness of health and well-being, all here on Gloucestershire people’s doorstep.
Dawn and Lorna are welcoming anyone seeking a healthier, more holistic lifestyle to join them at this special event, where they will be able to take part in a wide range of workshops and activities, learn more at the information stands, watch demonstrations, hear key speakers, enjoy on-the-day mini treatments, relax in the pamper room, join in the silent auction, and buy tickets for the grand prize draw. Every pound raised at this exciting event will help to fund the life-saving research that is changing the lives of those affected by these conditions in 2015

Not only will it be informative and help Gloucestershire residents access information about making healthier choices, but by engaging in events like this, you are helping our life-saving and life changing work to continue. We’re fighting for every heartbeat, but we can’t do it without you.” Joy Jones, Area Fundraising Manager – Midlands, Wales & South West of Diabetes UK continues, “Diabetes UK is committed to supporting people to live healthy lifestyles in the prevention of Type 2 diabetes and managing diabetes of all types; that’s why we are so pleased to be supported by the Gloucestershire Healthy Life Expo.” The organisers would like to thank Tesco Gloucester and Cheltenham for their sponsorship in distributing over 20,000 leaflets to their customers, promoting and highlighting the inaugural of Healthy Life Expo.
